Calle and Salt Lake City team up again for the Second Annual SLC Open Streetsoccer Cup, taking place in downtown SLC on June 13-14 at the Gallivan Center. This annual 4v4 street soccer tournament benefits our non-profit Free the Game. The entry fee includes a $50 team donation ($10 per player) for building street courts in Utah. This year, funds will specifically go towards two new courts: one at 11th Ave Park in the Avenues, and a larger project at Fairmont Park.
- Team Size: 5 players per team (4 active, 1 substitute)
- Game Duration: 5 minutes for group stages, 8 minutes for playoffs
- Scoring Rule: Goals must be scored in the attacking half
- Foul Calls: Players call their own fouls, with the 'court jester' having the final say
- Tiebreaker: In case of a tie in playoffs, a 1v1 golden goal decider will be held
- Substitutions: Substitutions can be made at any time during the game
- Out-of-Bounds Rule: No out-of-bounds on the sideline, only the goal-line (active corners)
